Growing up in Central Ohio, I developed an appreciation for the changing of the seasons, yet possibly a greater appreciation for the temperate climate and comfortable character of the Southeast. My family vacationed up and down the East Coast, but we were drawn to Hilton Head Island and the Lowcountry and returned every year. The quiet beauty and understated charm became a familiar part of my life, and I began to lose interest in other destinations.

After graduating from The Ohio State University with a degree in urban and regional geography, I worked in land use planning and real estate development before deciding to focus on my talents in marketing and real estate sales, and in 2003 I became a full-time Realtor. Through years of perseverance and innovation, I became a sales leader in the Central Ohio real estate market, earning sales awards, honors, and the respect of my community along the way. While this required tireless dedication and hard work, it also afforded certain freedoms with my family and my schedule. All the while, Hilton Head Island kept calling me home, and my travels to the area became more frequent. What once had been an annual trip became two trips, and eventually I found myself coming to the island four or five times per year. It had become part of my identity, and friends and acquaintances from across the Midwest began looking to me for local advice. It became clear that my love for sharing this amazing place could become a part of my professional life as well. After all, who doesn't want to have a job they love?

Finally, I harnessed my enthusiasm for the Lowcountry and earned my South Carolina real estate sales license. Shortly thereafter, I joined Dunes Real Estate on Hilton Head Island. I now primarily represent residential buyers from Ohio and surrounding states, and I utilize my combination of experience in the Midwest and local knowledge of Hilton Head Island and the surrounding area to help buyers navigate the differences and nuances of buying and owning property in a coastal community. There are many considerations - and a significant learning curve - when looking for a second home or relocating to a dramatically different location, and my unique experience is an advantage to such buyers.

I've been pulled to this community, and I understand the dream. Together, let's make it a reality!
